James Parsons, a Bend-based photographer, captured elk in the Cannon Beach dunes with Haystack Rock in the background last week. Parsons used a Nikon Z7 with a 70-200 mm lens.
On his Instagram page, he said he had just finished playing with his dogs on the beach and “Bam. There they were. Up on the dunes. I ran back to hotel to grab my camera. Iām pretty surprised, and stoked tonight! A bucket list thing just kinda fell in my lap.”
