Happy Paavo’s day! 
In Finland this used to be a popular day to predict the weather for the rest of the year. If the sun is shining today, the spring will be pretty and the crops plentyful. Especially peas. So today’s traditional dish used to be pea soup.
Today, as during any significant day, generousity brings you good luck. So if you want your peas to grow especially well, you should give something to your community. I would love my mushrooms to grow well, so I give you this picture of the most beautiful Laccaria amethystina (
lehtolohisieni) I found last year.
