Channeling David Hockney on atrip to Llano, CA via Pear Blossom Highway

I’m just going to sit here and soak up the last bit of sun.

Winters yard blanket. It is getting harder to tell where the yard ends and the tree begins.

I stepped off the path, just a few yards. Enough to feel a completely different space, one of quiet communion with my surroundings. While at the same time acknowledging how disorienting it is- surrounded on all sides by a confusion of trees and not knowing which direction leads back to the path.
