GRATITUDE
Kneel on the raw earth. Clasp your hands. Bow your head. Take a breath. Open your eyes, and feel the light fill you.
Listen for your heart, that model of faith. Feel your blood pulse. Each breath and each heartbeat is a miracle.
Look at your unshackled arms. Follow your thoughts: how they freely take any shape. Let your memories rise and realize how rich the years have been. You have every expectation of seeing tomorrow’s sunrise. How great fortune is.
All is eternal. All is infinite. We may be but a dust mote in the vastness of the universe, but the size of our gratitude is endless.
Stand. Raise your arms. Lift your voice. When you see Tao, then there is nothing better than a song of praise.
