Just left Haystack rock, heading back inland on Route 26. Contemplating trees, trees older than generations of humans, trees felled for livelihood, trees out my car window with nesting flocks of doves. Stop at another piece of history “Camp 18” restaurant – a real log cabin, “Loggers memorial”. Peace-full ride home through the trees.
