went out to check on the kiln as the sun set,
toasty 1475 in the kiln, and the studio space was more than warm,
checked the kiln schedule, we’re on our way down now, annealing
it is like invisible magic
as i wait,
so i leave the studio, and sit a minute on one of the wrought iron chairs,
under the cloudy skies, knowing the full moon shines
underneath, with all it’s cosmic energy
the squirrels, the birds, the rabbits and i have all felt it
and we are ready
the wind moves, mother nature prevails,
i return inside, where i was watching an episode of
Grand Design (on Amazon Prime), and i catch the last phrase this segment
“better to have a small piece of heaven than a lot of mediocrity"
